Frequently Asked Questions
New on the farm? Let’s walk and talk about some basics before you book an experience.
-
Download the PDF of our waiver. Fill out all of the fillable boxes. Use the edit/pencil icon and sign your name. Then email the waiver to us at rockingjhfarmsnc@gmail.com
-
To lock in your date on our farm calendar, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance is due the day of your event, right before we set up the pens and unleash the cuteness.
-
We get it—life happens! If you cancel at least 7 days before your event, you’ll get a full refund. Inside that 7-day window, the deposit is forfeited.
As for North Carolina weather: our animals are tough, but they don't love lightning, extreme heat waves, or flooding any more than your guests do. If conditions are unsafe for the herd, we reserve the right to call it. In those rare weather cases, we’ll do everything we can to reschedule your event or issue a refund (minus any travel costs already cooked in).
-
We bring the fencing, the handlers, and the herd, but we need your help with the venue basics! We ask our hosts to provide a flat setup space, a secure and shaded area to keep the animals cool, and access to clean water.
-
Because every backyard in Fuquay and every rustic venue in Wake Forest has different rules, you’ll just need to check with your venue coordinator about any specific animal permits or restrictions beforehand and let us know!
-
Most likely! We love capturing the smiles, the cow scratches, and the bottle-feeding chaos for our social media and marketing. If you’d prefer your event or your family to stay completely private from our cameras, just let us know in writing before the big day and we will absolutely respect your privacy.
-
We have plenty of room for you to pull up and park! Street parking along Ogburn Hicks Way is completely fine, but if you’d prefer to get a bit closer, you are more than welcome to pull right on in and find a spot on our side of the grass. Just keep an eye out for the livestock fences, and you’re good to go!
